Engage Energy & Industrial Consulting was founded in 2015 by Donald Racey. Don brings the unique ability to guide organizations through large-scale transformation and operational excellence initiatives. Don is the primary architect behind Engage’s innovative project implementation approach, and he is a passionate advocate for socially conscious and sustainable business processes.

Prior to founding Engage, Don served as managing director of Corporate Finance – Turnarounds and Restructuring for FTI Consulting, headquartered in Washington, D.C. At FTI, Don focused on creating performance improvement programs for leading energy and industrial companies. He has worked with all levels of client organizations—from board-room to shop floor and field—to install accountability for business process changes. Additionally, Don has worked across a diverse range of clients in the energy value chain including upstream, mid-stream, and downstream oil and gas.
For nearly 10 years, he exclusively worked in the regulated utilities industry including generation, transmission, and distribution sectors. Don joined FTI after serving as senior vice president of operations from 2008-2015 for Reliability Management Group (RMG) based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At RMG, Don was responsible for all aspects of business development and the management of RMG’s portfolio of client engagements. Don holds a B.A. in economics and business administration from Ohio Dominican University. Don is a Six Sigma Black Belt and a certified project management professional (PMP). Gina Wilkes leads our marketing strategy, digital media, brand management, and program development activities. Gina brings a wealth of experience and talent to our growing team. Prior to joining Engage, Gina served as marketing communications manager, curriculum development specialist, customer experience manager, and training facilitator at the Newton Family of Companies.

Gina also served as project program management advisor for Dell’s global Enterprise Application Services (EAS) group, where she was charged with developing, instituting, and managing numerous team member engagement programs for a worldwide team of approximately 1,200 employees. She also championed corporate cultural initiatives through internal global communications for cross-geographical EAS teams—formalizing communication processes for planning, execution, and feedback. Gina began her career with Development Dimensions International (DDI), focusing on leadership and workforce development, assessment technologies, and product management.
She is a graduate of Chatham University, holding a B.A. in Psychology.
Gina gives back to the community through her work as a mindfulness, meditation, and yoga instructor. In addition to her 200-hour certification, Gina went on to continue her education through Warriors at Ease, a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase awareness about the power of yoga and meditation and educate a network of professionals qualified to share evidenced-based practices through programs that support the health and healing of service members, veterans, and their families.
Patrick Dunne is a managing director with strong technical, commercial, and operational skills, complemented with broad cross-functional experience in the energy and utility industry. He is skilled in driving results in key business operational areas by focusing on quality, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and product innovation and growth. Patrick has demonstrated expertise within the supply chain and operations functions across the energy, power generation, and utility segments. He has a keen ability to partner at all levels from the shop-floor to the corporate-suite.

Patrick has over 25 years of operational experience, including 20 years in heavy manufacturing in the energy sector (GE Energy), and eight years of consulting with gas and electric utilities (FTI and Ankura Consulting). With a strong engineering background in power generation (gas, wind, and solar), Patrick also holds broad knowledge of supply chain, quality, and operational areas. His expertise in executing process and performance improvements, change management, and quality/operations systems has helped several gas and electric utilities solve critical business issues.
Patrick holds both a B.S. and an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is Six Sigma certified as a Greenbelt, Blackbelt, and Quality Leader. He is also adept in lean manufacturing and quality auditing.
